Mr. Pizza Slice History

In 1969, Steve Napolitoni started Mr. Pizza Slice. He created a warm, fun, safe environment for all of his customers, especially the students of Red Bank Catholic. His menu items consisted of iconic items like: Steve’s Original Pizza, Italian Hot Dogs and of course the Round Fries.

For over four decades, little changed at Mr. Pizza Slice, as Steve was serving up the best pizza, Italian Hot Dogs and fries around!

Then on September 4th, 2013 Steve shocked the Red Bank locals by retiring and leaving us this message:

"I AM RETIRING! I want to thank all of you for letting me serve you for the past 44 years. I'm going to miss seeing all of your faces every day. I plan on spending time with family and friends, vacationing and taking time for myself. Mr. Pizza Slice will live on under new ownership. Thank You!"

After a brief transition period with new owners, Steve formally passed the Mr. Pizza Slice onto current owner, Nick Napoletano.

In 2016, Nick purchased the pizzeria as well as the larger than life task of living up to Steve’s reputation.

Upon opening in January of 2016 Nick called Steve to come in and go over the basics so that he can keep true to the Mr. Pizza Slice name. They went over everything from sauce to fries to hiring the local RBC kids to fold boxes in trade for a slice of Pizza! Steve was a great mentor to Nick and really made him feel confident in this endeavor.

Currently Nick has added some great new features to the Pizzeria. He now offers delivery , curbside pickup & catering parties on or off premises.

We invite you to come stop in to the newly renovated Mr. Pizza Slice! While the restaurant has some upgrades — such as new ovens, a touch-screen soda dispenser and an exposed brick interior — many things are reminiscent of the Mr. Pizza Slice of old. And it's our goal to have the legacy of Mr. Pizza Slice continue on!
